I discover stories. I tell stories.
I really appreciate you taking a look at my site. Enjoy.
…and welcome to my website. A little bit about me: I am addicted to the agony and ecstasy of creative thought. I explore my creativity through several passions like comedic improvisation, film, and producing. Each pressures me into creative expression, the necessary nightmare that drives who I am. On this site you’ll see glimpses of the work I have done including advertising campaigns and commercials. Enjoy.
Here is my most current resume including my education, production experience, and proficiencies. This is only a super small part of me, but it is a necessary little evil in the quest for a position. I would love to meet with you and talk why this industry is my future.
A great story evokes wonder. These are my latest projects that tell a great story through the arts of directing, editing, and producing.
The “What If I Win” commercial series was one of my most daunting production jobs yet. We wanted to create a project that would evoke a relational, emotional response from the viewer and we believe we succeeded. As the concept developer, director, and co-producer, it was an organizational feat to even make this all happen. We shot the two commercials in a single day at Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, CA. For the first of the projects, I visited multiple wrestling practices of the high school and found two actors I thought would be perfect for the lead roles. To cast our second project, we held a casting call sourced from SF Casting Networks. My fellow producer and I handled the permission forms to use the facility and were in direct contact with the school’s Athletic Director during the entire project. With a talented and persistent team, we created magic together.
Below are examples of my abilities in post production. All were edited in either Final Cut Pro 7 or Final Cut Pro X.
Duracell- “Blinded” :30 Commercial, Editor, Production Assistant
Tesla- “Introducing the Future” :30 Commercial, Editor, Production Assistant
My MFA at the Academy of Art University was a pursuit in Advertising, in specific, Creative Strategy. As a future producer, my background in strategy has become invaluable in my the way I work. My schooling taught me how to approach a brand’s problem, analyze it, take it apart, and deliver results. In my style of producing, it is absolutely necessary to approach every problem in the same way. This first campaign focuses on a brand’s deep storytelling culture and works to share that culture with the world.
Campaign featured at AAU Spring Show 2012 for Integrated Campaign.
Lagunitas Brewing Company: Speak From Your Spout
This second campaign was a great feat for my team to accomplish. In only three weeks we were able to produce this campaign video and deliver a rich strategy to raise $1,000,000 for the non-profit organization, Pencils of Promise.
I write and edit a YouTube comedy show called Living Twenty, where we talk about what it’s really like living in your twenties. I hope this demonstrates more of my post production and comedy editing skills, and if I’m lucky, it’ll make you laugh.
